Mission Statement

Doggy Daycare at Huskyden Kennels provides a safe, fun, stimulating environment where dogs can play, stay and learn - where dogs get to be dogs. Our goal is to educate dogs and their people, which strengthens the bond between them and assures that both are better citizens of the community. We are ethical in all that we do and in all of our interactions.

Who We Are

Doggy Daycare was founded by Tenasha Willis who was inspired by her husband to establish an environment that was dedicated to the health and well-being of dogs - a special place where dogs are run, play and socialize.  

As long-standing residents of Magnetawan, we know the area quiet well and understand that with it being such a tourist destination as well as chalked full of locals with dogs that from time to time need a person/place that they can leave their dog for the day or overnight with out worries of their dog and whether they are in good hands.

As the proud owners of an Alaskan Husky Kennel, however, we soon discovered that the community was lacking a business that fully addressed the day care and overnight needs of their dogs. Thus began the inspiration that has since become Doggy Daycare at Huskyden Kennels...

Tenasha & Andy Willis envisioned a place where dogs could be dogs, free to play and romp, to exercise safely, and to enjoy basking in the sunshine with a good chew toy. A place where dogs could play in small well-matched groups, have a quiet comfortable place to nap, and where each one would enjoy individualized care, petting and attention.

In order to provide the safest and most fun Doggy Daycare at Huskyden Kennels environment, all campers are assigned to their own run and are only allowed to play in group settings when we are right there with them. If a dog is aggressive toward other dogs and/or to our staff, we reserve the right to refuse service and you will have to pick up animal right away.

Hours of Operation

Drop Ins are Welcome.

Monday - Friday: 8am to 6pm. Front desk closed between 12pm - 1pm for lunch.                                                               Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 6pm

Classes, events and special appointments are held at their scheduled times. Can't make it by closing time? Ask about our After Hours Pickup Policy.

The Daycare  

We have six runs available.  Five are 10' x 4' with log cabin style dog houses complete with cedar shavings in the houses.  The fencing is 6' high and the runs are completely shaded by a 12' x 26' canopy.   The sixth run is 16' x 4' with a log cabin style dog house complete with cedar shavings in the house as well, with its very own shade canopy.  This run has 4' high panel fencing.  Toys are in each run, as well as 10 quart water pails and stainless steel feed bowls.   There is a perimeter fence surrounding the runs that is 8' high and 20' x 25'.   We provide the treats at no cost but food is extra unless you supply it.  We also have a doggy pool that your pooch can play in. During your dogs stay with us we make sure that they are walked for a half an hour each day.  As well as incorporate training according to the level your dog is at in our walks. Every one knows a happy puppy is a tired puppy. We guarantee that your puppy will be exercised not only physically but also mentally during they stay with us.
